BCA Members,

There have been some concerns raised recently by residents of Bayberry regarding a couple particular issues. The first being the attack on Ash trees by Ash Tree Beetles and remedies to them and a second, which has been an on-going issue in Bayberry, the huge amount of vehicles which are not adhering to the speed limit of 30 miles per hour.

Regarding the Ash Tree issue, at the September 13th Bayberry Community Association’s Residents’ Meeting our County Legislator John Dougherty and two representatives from the Onondaga County Department of the Environment will be in attendance to answer whatever questions the BCA’s Residents may have for the treatments of these insects.

We ask concerned residents to attend this meeting to discuss the speeding issues in Bayberry and what steps have been taken in the past regarding vehicles “racing” through the streets of Bayberry. This matter will also be brought to the attention of John Dougherty and ask him to assist Bayberry with requests for additional OCSD patrols.

Please make an effort to attend this meeting on Sunday September 13th at 7 pm at the United Church of Christ at 215 Blackberry Road (corner of Blackberry & Cherry Tree Circle) to discuss these two matters and many of the new things going on for the 2015-16 year including a “new look” for our website and BCA News—and as always we could still use a few volunteers!!!

Thank you,
Mike Banks
President–BCA
