The scholarship winners for 2017 are both kind and humble young ladies. They both wrote great essays showing they understand how important volunteering is to enrich our community.
Abigail Anderson is a member of the Varsity Volleyball team, Honor Society, Student Council, French Club and is a Varsity Club officer. She has volunteered at the Rosamond-Gifford Zoo in the veterinarian department, and also at a local food pantry. She has occasionally helped deliver BCA News, and helps out at the fire department when she can. She will be attending Keuka College in the fall.
Brittany Rheaume is a member of Honor Society, Marching Band, Concert Chorale, Jazz Band, String Ensemble, Concert Ensemble, Vocal Jazz and Scarlet Barbershop Choir. She was a BCA rep assistant this year with her sister and has helped out with numerous charitable benefits for local individuals and participated in the Lupus Walk. She participated in Big Buddies, helped teach students Spanish and participated in Science Fair at elementary schools. She assists her neighbors by shoveling and bringing them meals. She will be attending SUNY Geneseo in the fall.
