Save the date! The Bayberry Community Association, Tri-R Management and the Irongate Community Association together will hold their first joint Christmas Tree Lighting this year to kickoff the holiday season. The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 in the Bayberry Plaza parking lot. Bayberry couple and acoustic duo Gwen and Patrick McCarroll’s “Power of Two” will provide the musical entertainment. Volunteers from Moyers Corners Fire Department Station 2 will take Santa for a tour of the neighborhood, then drop him off in the plaza to participate in the countdown of the tree lighting! Christ the King Church will also bring a live nativity to the event as well as its own choir to sing a few songs. Refreshments will be available from Antonio’s Pizza, Bagelicious and Ben Paine, who will be making fresh, hot donuts! 50/50 and basket raffles will also be held. Proceeds will go to the BCA scholarship fund for high school seniors.
