The Syracuse Zonta Foundation, Inc provides a variety of funding opportunities to women attending college in Onondaga County.  Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship or award, but must include a complete application with all/any attachments for each, as they will be separately evaluated.

The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Established in 1998 from a generous bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York and the 1990-1995 Zonta International Parliamentarian. The Scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees in business management. Awards are available at the local, district and national levels. Completed applications are due by Friday, February 23, 2018 and must be consistent with the District and National applications (as provided) as the winner/awardee will be forwarded to the next level for further consideration.  Up to $1,000 will be awarded locally. Women in Transition Scholarship

College women who reside in Onondaga County; 6 credit minimum, to encourage mature women to continue their education and to improve their career opportunities. Selection is based on academic potential, with preference given to those who have other responsibilities while attending college.  Completed applications are due by Friday, February 23, 2018. Up to $2,000 will be awarded.

There will be an event at sometime in the near future (after selections are made) to present the awardees their check.  We would ask that the winners make themselves available to attend and meet the selection committee along with the Club’s members. Download application/information here.
