From Dr. Mark F. Potter, Superintendent of Schools:

I am pleased to announce that Liverpool Central School District students continue to be recognized for all they have accomplished this school year.

* Liverpool High School senior Connor Aanonsen recently was named the OCM BOCES Career Development Occupational Studies Program Student of the Year. Connor was chosen based on an essay, resume, and the positive attitude, work ethic and leadership skills he has displayed since joining the CDOS program two years ago.

* Nine LHS students recently were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Inducted were: senior Brooke Barber (Career Academy/Laboratory Technology), senior Kennedy Bell (Cosmetology), senior Ashanti Dorsey (Cosmetology), senior Daniel French (Welding Technology), senior Arfasa Haley (Automotive Technology), senior Dominique LaRose (Pastry Arts), senior Fadi Shuheibar (Physical Therapy Professions), senior Kathleen Smith (Automotive Technology) and senior Ryan Ward (New Vision Criminal Justice). Students must have an 85 average or higher, 12 or fewer absences from their program for the year and receive a teacher endorsement to qualify for induction. Students also must demonstrate attributes that include respect, honesty, skill, responsibility, leadership, service and citizenship.

Congratulations to all!
